Battle with Mammatos in the Nut Forest
Head east from Pruitt Forest to reach the Nut Forest. You can prepare later, but it’s best to stock up on Red Potions in advance, as you’ll need them for the upcoming battles with Starry and Alfen.
As you proceed east in Pruitt Forest, an event will occur where you rescue a material shopkeeper. Choose “Negotiate (+1 Reputation)”.

Obtaining the Abandoned Magic Tome in Pruitt Forest
Go to the spot where the shopkeeper Marrone used to be in Proto Town. Marrone is gone, and a conversation event will trigger near her usual location by the older woman.
If you go further down East Pruitt Forest, you’ll find Marrone being attacked by a family of hedgehogs. Choose “Help”.

After defeating the Hedgehog Family, open the chest behind them to obtain the Abandoned Magic Tome in Pruitt Forest.

Crafting New Items in the King’s Room
With the tome, you can now craft two new items:
Wind Tree Branch → Increases Agility by 12
- Big Trimo’s Branch (East Pruitt Forest)
- Berrion’s Front Claw (East Pruitt Forest)
- Hayabaya Feather (East Pruitt Forest)
Black Bear Gall → Increases Defense by 32
- Bear Gall (East Pruitt Forest)
- Dragoena Meat (White Rock Mountain)
Agility and Defense are vital stats, but early training doesn’t raise them much. Crafting these items lets you strengthen your character early on.
Continuing the Material Shop Event
Head east through Pruitt Forest, and an event occurs at Pruitt Bridge where you help someone.
When you arrive at the Nut Forest, a battle with Mammatos begins. First, take out Uris in the back using “Descending Attack.”

After the Mammatos battle, Uris flees north. Follow him to Pruitt Lake for another fight. He’s not very strong—just a few claw attacks will do.

Once you defeat Uris, you head to the Crystal Cavern to rescue Eden. Inside, you’ll battle the spirit Starry.
Since Starry has high attack power, summon Baron, heal with Red Potions, and wait until your Mana Awakening gauge fills.

Decisive Battle with Marianna in Rutana Village
Proceed through the Black Cave toward Rutana Village. At the cave exit, you’ll fight Alfen.

Again, summon Baron, use Red Potions, and endure until Mana Awakening is ready.

After exiting, a battle against Marianna’s group begins. Then, inside Rutana Village to the north, you’ll face a second fight against them.

White Rock Golem Battle at Sharly’s Spring
After defeating Marianna, the story advances to the back of White Rock Mountain, then to the Sharly Temple.
From west Pruitt Forest, head toward Sharly Temple. You’ll meet Poelter, who sends you to White Rock Mountain Cave. Enter from the middle-left side of the mountain. Obtaining the Heart of White Rock Mountain triggers an event. Return to the hideout for a battle with the White Rock Golem.
The golem doesn’t attack, but you must defeat it before it gets close.
- Raising Martial Arts to Level 3 to unlock Combo Attack makes it easier.
- Using Wind Tree Branch to boost agility is also recommended.

Afterward, deliver the Heart of White Rock Mountain to Poelter in Pruitt Forest. You’ll then fight Red Poelter. You can’t deal damage, but if you endure for a few turns, you’ll win.

Proceeding toward Sharly’s Spring triggers another event: battle with Sharly’s Shadow Inscription and Red Poelter.

Winning grants you a new magic medium. Return to your hideout and craft new magic. With increased magic power, it becomes a viable combat strategy.
Chapter 2 Boss Battle: Ubestan at the Rutana Altar
Head to the back of White Rock Mountain for a conversation with Lola, then return to Moccamori Castle for a battle with Edis.

Finally, proceed to the Rutana Altar, where the last boss of Chapter 2, Ubestan, awaits.
Ubestan uses powerful physical attacks, so low Defense means certain defeat. Raise Strength through training, or use Black Bear Gall to boost HP and Defense.
- Summoning Baron is essential.
- Use Red Potions to endure, and unleash high damage once Mana Awakening fills.

After defeating Ubestan, a cutscene plays, marking the end of Chapter 2: The Seed of Connection.
