Answer 22 questions to find the hero, out of all 57, whose playstyle is closest to yours.
The Vainglory Hero Quiz is a free, unofficial quiz that finds the hero, out of all 57 in the mobile MOBA Vainglory, whose playstyle is closest to yours in 22 questions. Because the next question changes based on your answers, it can tell even similar heroes apart.
Guide
How it works
Just answer each question by picking one of four options. Your result appears after the 22nd question.
Each next question is chosen from a bank of 35 based on your previous answers (an adaptive quiz), which is why 22 questions can tell all 57 heroes apart. We ran the full quiz with answers given the way each hero would answer, and with 20% of those answers switched to another option (120 runs per hero), then chose the smallest number of questions at which all 57 heroes came out on top with their own answers and two more questions barely improved accuracy.
| Method / questions | #1 with own answers | #1 with 20% changed | Top 3 with 20% changed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fixed, 10 questions (reference) | 30 / 57 | 33.3% | 60.4% |
| Adaptive, 8 questions | 47 / 57 | 53.1% | 73.1% |
| Adaptive, 10 questions | 53 / 57 | 60.1% | 78.0% |
| Adaptive, 12 questions | 56 / 57 | 66.0% | 82.0% |
| Adaptive, 14 questions | 56 / 57 | 69.6% | 84.9% |
| Adaptive, 16 questions | 56 / 57 | 72.7% | 87.1% |
| Adaptive, 18 questions | 57 / 57 | 75.5% | 89.2% |
| Adaptive, 20 questions | 56 / 57 | 77.0% | 90.9% |
| Adaptive, 22 questions (used) | 57 / 57 | 78.3% | 92.0% |
| Adaptive, 24 questions | 57 / 57 | 77.9% | 92.3% |
With a fixed order of 10 questions, only 30 of the 57 heroes came out on top with their own answers. When all 22 questions were answered completely at random (20,000 runs), San Feng came up most often (8.0%), and 54 heroes appeared in first place.

Yes. When the quiz is answered the way each hero would answer, all 57 heroes come out in first place. Even when 20% of those answers are changed, the hero still ranks first 78.3% of the time and in the top three 92.0% of the time.
Your answers are converted into 33 traits, such as range, durability and burst damage, and the hero with the closest traits is chosen. The trait values were set by this site based on the hero introductions on the official website and the ability descriptions in each update.
It shows, from 0 to 100%, how close your answers are to the traits of the resulting hero. 0% means that every trait you answered about is the exact opposite.
